About

5 Flucel 250mg Injection contains Fluorouracil as its active ingredient. It belongs to a class of medications known as antimetabolites, which work by disrupting the synthesis of DNA and RNA in rapidly dividing cancer cells, ultimately leading to their destruction. This medication is commonly used to treat various cancers, including breast, colorectal, stomach, esophageal, and pancreatic cancers. It may be administered via injection or in some cases, as a topical cream.

As with most anticancer drugs, 5 Flucel 250mg Injection may cause side effects. Commonly reported effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth sores, hair loss, and a higher risk of infections. However, not everyone experiences these side effects, and their severity can vary among individuals.

While there are no strict dietary restrictions with this treatment, it is advisable to limit or avoid alcohol, spicy or acidic foods, citrus fruits and juices, and high-fiber foods, as they may aggravate gastrointestinal symptoms. Inform your doctor before starting treatment if you have had recent surgery (within the last 30 days) or are following a controlled sodium diet.
