About
AUXISODA-EC TAB is an enteric-coated formulation of sodium bicarbonate, designed to deliver its alkalinizing effects to the intestines or to provide systemic alkalinization without immediate stomach acid neutralization. Sodium bicarbonate acts as an antacid by directly neutralizing stomach acid, but in its enteric-coated form, it bypasses the stomach to exert its effects further down the digestive tract or to be absorbed systemically to correct metabolic acidosis. This controlled release helps to minimize gastric irritation and maximize therapeutic efficacy.
It is commonly used to relieve symptoms of indigestion and heartburn, as well as in more serious conditions requiring the alkalinization of urine or correction of metabolic acidosis. The enteric coating ensures that the active ingredient is released where it is most effective, providing sustained relief or systemic benefits while protecting the stomach lining from the immediate reaction with acid.
