About

Carzomib 60mg Injection is a proteasome inhibitor used in the treatment of multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer affecting plasma cells. It works by selectively and irreversibly inhibiting the chymotrypsin-like activity of the 20S proteasome, a multi-enzyme complex responsible for degrading ubiquitinated proteins. This inhibition leads to an accumulation of misfolded and ubiquitinated proteins within cancer cells, triggering cellular stress, apoptosis (programmed cell death), and ultimately inhibiting tumor growth. Carzomib is typically administered intravenously and is often used in patients who have received at least one prior therapy for multiple myeloma, or in combination with other agents for newly diagnosed cases. Its targeted mechanism helps to overcome resistance to other treatments and improve patient outcomes.

Uses

  • Treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
  • Used in combination with other agents for multiple myeloma.
  • Management of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma.
