About
Decmax 8mg Tablet contains dexamethasone, an anti-inflammatory medicine belonging to the corticosteroid class. It helps reduce inflammation (swelling, heat, redness, and pain) in various conditions affecting multiple organs, including allergic reactions, skin disorders, endocrine problems, gastrointestinal diseases, blood disorders, nervous system and kidney conditions, eye problems, and rheumatic disorders. It is also used in the treatment of certain cancers.
Decmax 8mg Tablet is a synthetic glucocorticoid, similar to natural hormones produced by the adrenal glands that help maintain health. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to dexamethasone or any of its ingredients, or if you have fungal infections. Inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, or heart disease; respiratory problems; diabetes; eye conditions; seizures; infections; tuberculosis; or psychiatric disorders before starting treatment. Take it with food to minimize stomach irritation.
Common side effects may include high blood pressure, slowed growth, blurred vision, cataracts, eye discomfort, depression, and pulmonary tuberculosis. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you become pregnant while taking it. Decmax can weaken your immune system, making it harder to fight infections. Notify your doctor if you experience symptoms such as fever, sore throat, or cough.
