About

Dulcoflex contains Bisacodyl, a well-established stimulant laxative that exerts its action by directly stimulating the nerves in the colon. This stimulation leads to increased bowel muscle contractions, known as peristalsis, which effectively helps to move stool through the intestines and promotes a bowel movement. Additionally, Bisacodyl increases the accumulation of water and electrolytes within the colon, which softens the stool and makes it considerably easier to pass. Dulcoflex is primarily utilized for the short-term relief of occasional constipation and is also commonly employed for bowel preparation before various medical procedures, such as colonoscopies or surgeries, ensuring effective and predictable evacuation of the colon. Its targeted action on the large intestine makes it an effective choice for acute constipation, though it should be used judiciously to avoid potential dependence with prolonged use.
