About

ELTROCIN 30 contains Erythromycin, a macrolide antibiotic widely used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth and multiplication of susceptible bacteria. Erythromycin is effective against a broad spectrum of Gram-positive bacteria and some Gram-negative organisms, as well as atypical pathogens like Mycoplasma and Chlamydia. It is often prescribed for respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, sexually transmitted infections, and certain gastrointestinal infections. Due to its mechanism of action, it is a valuable alternative for patients allergic to penicillin. Proper adherence to the full course of treatment is crucial to prevent the development of antibiotic resistance and ensure complete eradication of the infection.
