About

EUCLIDE M TAB is an oral antidiabetic medication that combines two active pharmaceutical ingredients: Gliclazide and Metformin. Gliclazide, a sulfonylurea, primarily acts by stimulating the beta cells in the pancreas to increase insulin secretion, thereby lowering blood glucose levels. Metformin, a biguanide, works through a different mechanism, primarily by reducing hepatic glucose production and improving the body's sensitivity to insulin in peripheral tissues. This dual-action combination therapy is indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, exercise, and monotherapy with either Gliclazide or Metformin alone do not provide adequate glycemic control. The synergistic effect helps to achieve more comprehensive and sustained blood sugar regulation.

Uses

  • Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
  • Improvement of glycemic control
  • Stimulation of insulin release
  • Reduction of hepatic glucose output

Directions For Use
