About

EUCLIDE M TAB is an oral antidiabetic medication that combines two active pharmaceutical ingredients: Gliclazide and Metformin. Gliclazide, a sulfonylurea, primarily acts by stimulating the beta cells in the pancreas to increase insulin secretion, thereby lowering blood glucose levels. Metformin, a biguanide, works through a different mechanism, primarily by reducing hepatic glucose production and improving the body's sensitivity to insulin in peripheral tissues. This dual-action combination therapy is indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, exercise, and monotherapy with either Gliclazide or Metformin alone do not provide adequate glycemic control.
