About

Mirakem-25 contains Mirabegron, a novel beta-3 adrenergic agonist indicated for the management of overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms, including urinary urgency, increased frequency of urination, and urge incontinence. Unlike traditional anticholinergic medications, Mirabegron operates through a distinct mechanism of action. It selectively activates beta-3 adrenergic receptors located on the detrusor muscle of the bladder. This activation leads to the relaxation of the bladder muscle during the urine storage phase of the micturition cycle.
