About

Pan 40 Tablet contains Pantoprazole 40mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by irreversibly binding to the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system (proton pump) in the gastric parietal cells, thereby inhibiting the final step in gastric acid production. This leads to a significant and prolonged reduction in stomach acid secretion. Pantoprazole is widely used for the treatment of various acid-related disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

It is also used for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics. It provides effective relief from symptoms like heartburn, acid regurgitation, and promotes healing of esophageal lesions, improving patient comfort and preventing complications associated with excessive stomach acid.
