Pomalirel 4mg Capsule contains the active ingredient Pomalidomide, a chemotherapy medicine belonging to the class of immunomodulatory agents. It is used in the treatment of multiple myeloma in adults—a type of cancer that affects plasma cells (a kind of white blood cell). In multiple myeloma, these cells multiply uncontrollably and build up in the bone marrow, leading to bone damage and kidney problems.
Common side effects may include shortness of breath, tiredness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, back or bone pain, dizziness, tremors, respiratory infections, trouble sleeping, loss of appetite, fatigue, muscle spasms or weakness, tingling/numbness or burning sensation in the hands or feet, low potassium levels, and anemia. Inform your doctor if any of these symptoms persist or become bothersome.
Precautions: Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you are allergic to Pomalirel 4mg Capsule or any of its ingredients. Also, let your healthcare provider know if you have high cholesterol, heart problems, breathing issues, blood clot disorders, hepatitis B, neuropathy (nerve damage in hands or feet), or if you smoke.
