About

Relipoietin 5000IU Injection contains Recombinant human erythropoietin alfa (epoetin alfa), which belongs to a class of medications known as erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs). It is used to treat anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD), cancer chemotherapy, or HIV treatment with zidovudine. Additionally, it helps reduce the need for red blood cell transfusions in patients who are at high risk of blood loss due to planned surgeries or medical procedures.

This medication should not be used in individuals with:

  • Hypersensitivity to epoetin alfa or any of its components

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure (hypertension)

  • Active thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA)

  • Pure red cell aplasia (PRCA)

  • Uncontrolled seizures

  • Pregnancy or during breastfeeding

Relipoietin should be used with caution in patients with a history of:

  • Blood clots

  • Heart disease, stroke

  • Kidney or liver disease

  • Thalassemia, sickle cell anemia

  • Leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, or cancer

Its use in children under 18 years should be limited to cases where the benefits outweigh the risks, and elderly patients should be closely monitored for potential side effects.

Before starting treatment, it is essential to consult your doctor to discuss the potential risks and benefits of using Relipoietin 5000IU Injection.
