Rompost 250mg Injection is a platelet-stimulating agent that contains Romiplostim. It is used to treat immune primary thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition in which the immune system mistakenly destroys the body’s own platelets, leading to low platelet counts. This medication is primarily prescribed to adults and children aged 18 and older when other treatments—such as corticosteroids, immunoglobulins, or splenectomy (removal of the spleen)—have not been effective.
Rompost 250mg Injection is contraindicated in individuals with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to medications produced using DNA technology involving the bacterium Escherichia coli (E. coli). Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have any liver problems, cancer, recent surgeries, smoking habits, or if you are using birth control pills, as these factors could influence the safety and effectiveness of the drug.
