About

RTU-Doce RTU 20mg Injection contains Docetaxel, a potent antineoplastic agent classified within the taxane family of chemotherapy drugs. Its primary mechanism of action involves disrupting the dynamic equilibrium of microtubules, which are critical components of the cellular cytoskeleton and essential for cell division. Docetaxel achieves this by promoting the assembly of tubulin dimers into stable microtubules while simultaneously inhibiting their depolymerization. This leads to the accumulation of non-functional and hyper-stabilized microtubule bundles within the cell, effectively preventing the normal progression of mitosis. Consequently, cells become arrested in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle, ultimately triggering programmed cell death (apoptosis) and inhibiting tumor proliferation. This cytotoxic effect makes Docetaxel a valuable agent in the treatment of various solid tumors, including breast, non-small cell lung, prostate, and gastric cancers.
