About

Seroglobulin 5% is a highly purified, sterile solution of human normal immunoglobulin (IgG) derived from pooled human plasma. It is intended for intravenous administration and contains a broad spectrum of antibodies representative of the healthy human population. This therapeutic product provides passive immunity by supplying exogenous antibodies to individuals with compromised immune systems or those requiring immunomodulation. The diverse antibody repertoire helps to neutralize pathogens, toxins, and regulate immune responses in various autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Its mechanism involves not only direct antibody replacement but also complex immunomodulatory effects, such as blocking Fc receptors, modulating cytokine production, and influencing B and T cell activity. Seroglobulin 5% is a critical treatment for primary immunodeficiency disorders, certain autoimmune diseases, and acute inflammatory conditions where rapid immune modulation or antibody supplementation is required to prevent severe complications and improve patient outcomes.
