About

Sodac Injection contains Sodium Bicarbonate as its active ingredient and belongs to a class of medications called alkalinizing agents. It is primarily used to treat metabolic acidosis associated with conditions such as severe kidney disease, uncontrolled diabetes, shock-induced circulatory failure, severe dehydration, extracorporeal blood circulation, cardiac arrest, and severe primary lactic acidosis. It is also used in the management of certain drug toxicities and severe diarrhea.

This injection should not be used if you are allergic to Sodium Bicarbonate or any other components of the medication. It is also contraindicated in individuals with hypoventilation (slow or shallow breathing), specific blood disorders, kidney stones, high blood pressure, heart or kidney failure, or fluid retention. Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions before beginning treatment. Your doctor may regularly check your blood acid-base balance while you are receiving this medication.

Additionally, let your doctor know if you are on a low-sodium or sodium-free diet, or if you have sucrose intolerance, as the injection contains a small amount of sucrose. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before starting treatment with Sodac Injection.
