About

Taxocare 120MG Injection VIAL contains Docetaxel, an antineoplastic agent belonging to the taxane class of chemotherapy drugs. Docetaxel exerts its cytotoxic effects by promoting the assembly of microtubules from tubulin dimers and inhibiting their depolymerization, leading to the stabilization of microtubules. This action disrupts the normal mitotic process and interphase cellular functions, ultimately inhibiting cell division and inducing apoptosis in rapidly proliferating cancer cells.

It is widely used in the treatment of various solid tumors, including breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, prostate cancer, gastric adenocarcinoma, and head and neck cancer. Docetaxel is administered intravenously, often as part of a multi-drug chemotherapy regimen. Due to its potent effects, careful monitoring for adverse reactions, particularly myelosuppression and fluid retention, is essential throughout the treatment course.
