About

Tofatop XR Tablet typically contains Tofacitinib, an oral Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor. Tofacitinib works by selectively inhibiting the activity of JAK enzymes, which are intracellular enzymes involved in signaling pathways that mediate the immune response and inflammation. By blocking JAK pathways, particularly JAK1 and JAK3, Tofacitinib interferes with the signaling of various cytokines and growth factors that contribute to the pathogenesis of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

The extended-release (XR) formulation allows for once-daily dosing, providing sustained therapeutic levels of the drug and improving patient adherence. It is primarily used in the treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions where conventional therapies have been insufficient or poorly tolerated. Its targeted mechanism of action helps to reduce inflammation, alleviate symptoms, and slow disease progression in conditions characterized by dysregulated immune responses.
