About

Vorier 200mg Injection is a prescription antifungal medication containing the active ingredient Voriconazole. It belongs to a class of drugs known as fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitors, which work by disrupting the formation of fungal cell membranes. This injection is used to treat serious and potentially life-threatening fungal infections, especially in high-risk patients, such as those who have undergone bone marrow transplants. It is not recommended for use in children under 2 years of age.

Avoid this medication if you are allergic to Voriconazole or any of its components. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have a history of liver disease, heart problems (such as cardiomyopathy, irregular heartbeat, bradycardia, or long QTc syndrome), or have previously had allergic reactions to azole antifungals. It is essential to limit sun exposure during treatment, as Voriconazole can increase sensitivity to sunlight. Use protective clothing and high-SPF sunscreen to prevent sunburn or skin damage. Children should also follow these sun safety precautions.

Common side effects include fever, rash, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, swelling in the limbs, abdominal pain, and breathing difficulties. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop symptoms such as severe sunburn, skin rash or blisters, bone pain, signs of adrenal insufficiency (fatigue, muscle weakness, appetite loss, weight loss, abdominal pain), or features of Cushing's syndrome (facial roundness, fatty hump, easy bruising, high blood sugar, etc.). Inform your doctor if you have a sugar intolerance, as the injection contains lactose.
