About

Arasid 1gm injection contains the active ingredient Cytarabine, an antineoplastic drug classified as an antimetabolite. It is used alone or in combination with other chemotherapy medications to treat certain types of leukemia, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). It is also prescribed to treat and prevent meningeal leukemia, which affects the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

Do not use Arasid 1gm injection if you are allergic to Cytarabine or any other components of this medication. Inform your doctor if you have issues with body coordination, are taking other anticancer drugs, have decreased bone marrow function, liver problems, or have recently undergone dialysis before or after treatment with this medication.

Arasid 1gm injection may cause an increase in uric acid levels in the blood, and your doctor may prescribe medication to manage this. Contact your physician immediately if you experience allergic reactions such as rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, mouth, or throat, difficulty breathing, or wheezing. The safety of this medicine in patients with kidney failure is unknown, so inform your doctor if you have any kidney problems.
