About

BVERT 24MG contains Betahistine, a histamine analog primarily used for the symptomatic treatment of Meniere's disease. Meniere's disease is a disorder of the inner ear that causes episodes of vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss, and a feeling of fullness in the ear. Betahistine is thought to work by improving microcirculation in the inner ear, specifically by increasing blood flow to the stria vascularis, which helps to reduce the pressure build-up of endolymph. It may also act as a weak H1-receptor agonist and a potent H3-receptor antagonist, influencing neurotransmitter release in the vestibular nuclei. By addressing the underlying pathophysiology, Betahistine helps to reduce the frequency and severity of vertigo attacks, alleviate tinnitus, and improve hearing loss associated with Meniere's disease, thereby enhancing the patient's quality of life.
