Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet is an anti-metabolite chemotherapy medication that contains the active ingredients Capecitabine and Cyclophosphamide. It falls under the categories of nucleoside metabolic inhibitors and alkylating agents. This medicine is used in combination with other anticancer drugs for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer and breast cancer. It is also prescribed to help prevent the recurrence of colon cancer following complete surgical removal of the tumor.

Common side effects of this medicine include loss of appetite, headache, runny nose, fever, hair thinning, and dry mouth. During the course of treatment, your doctor may routinely monitor your complete blood count, prothrombin time, and INR to minimize the risk of complications. Inform your doctor if you have any history of stomach ulcers, cataracts, lung conditions, or disorders affecting the heart, liver, skin, or kidneys. You should also notify your physician before undergoing eye surgery or dental procedures. If you experience any allergic reactions or unusual symptoms after taking this medicine, report them promptly. Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children and adolescents. Since this medication contains lactose, consult your doctor if you are lactose intolerant before starting it.
