Comcapsy 700mg/30mg Tablets is an anti-metabolite medication that contains Capecitabine and Cyclophosphamide as active ingredients. It belongs to a class of drugs known as nucleoside metabolic inhibitors and alkylating agents. This medicine is used in combination with other anticancer therapies to treat metastatic breast and colorectal cancer. It is also prescribed to help prevent cancer recurrence in the colon following complete surgical removal of the tumor.

Common side effects include loss of appetite, headache, runny nose, fever, hair loss, and dry mouth. During treatment, your doctor may regularly monitor your blood counts, prothrombin time, and INR to minimize the risk of complications. Inform your physician if you have a history of stomach ulcers, cataracts, lung disease, or any heart, liver, kidney, or skin conditions. Let your doctor know if you plan to undergo eye surgery or dental procedures. Also, report any allergic reactions or unusual symptoms after taking this medication. Since this drug may impact fertility, discuss any concerns with your doctor before beginning treatment.

Comcapsy 700mg/30mg Tablets is not recommended for use in children or adolescents. If you have a lactose intolerance, consult your doctor before starting this medication, as it contains lactose. It should not be taken if you have a low white blood cell or platelet count, chickenpox, shingles, or a known deficiency of the DPD (dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase) enzyme.
