About

Envas 2.5 Tab contains Enalapril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, primarily used in the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. Enalapril works by blocking the action of ACE, an enzyme responsible for converting angiotensin I to angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a potent vasoconstrictor and stimulates aldosterone secretion, both of which contribute to increased blood pressure and fluid retention.

By inhibiting ACE, Enalapril causes blood vessels to relax and widen, leading to a reduction in blood pressure. It also helps to decrease the workload on the heart in patients with heart failure, improving cardiac output and reducing symptoms like shortness of breath and swelling. This medication is a cornerstone in cardiovascular therapy, improving prognosis and quality of life for many patients.
