About

Fenolip 145 mg tablets contain fenofibrate, a fibric acid derivative that works by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα). This activation leads to increased lipolysis and elimination of triglyceride-rich particles from plasma by activating lipoprotein lipase and reducing the production of apolipoprotein C-III. It also increases the synthesis of apolipoproteins A-I and A-II, which are components of HDL cholesterol. Fenofibrate is primarily used to manage dyslipidemia, particularly high triglyceride levels and low HDL cholesterol, thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with mixed dyslipidemia.
