About
Ipoget with Mesna 1gm Injection is an anticancer and cytoprotective medicine that belongs to the class of alkylating agents and hemorrhagic cystitis inhibitors. It contains Ifosfamide and Mesna as active ingredients. This combination is used in the treatment of cancers affecting the soft tissues, germ cells, pancreas, and cervix, as well as in bladder inflammation. Mesna helps protect the body against some of the harmful side effects caused by chemotherapy medicines.
This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to Ifosfamide, Mesna, or any of its components. It may cause severe bone marrow suppression, leading to low white blood cell and platelet counts, especially when used alongside chemotherapy or radiation therapy. If you have recently received a live virus vaccine (such as measles, mumps, rubella, or chickenpox), you should wait at least three months before starting treatment. Use with caution if you have severe liver or kidney disease. Inform your doctor about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter drugs, or herbal supplements you are taking, as interactions may occur.
Ipoget with Mesna 1gm Injection is unsafe during pregnancy, as it may cause harm to an unborn baby. A pregnancy test will usually be done before beginning treatment. Discuss effective birth control methods with your doctor and continue using them for at least two weeks after your last dose. Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment, as the medicine may pass into breast milk and harm the baby.
