About

Mitotax 100mg Injection contains Paclitaxel, a highly effective antineoplastic agent classified within the taxane family. Its primary mechanism of action involves disrupting the normal dynamics of microtubule formation and breakdown, which are essential for cell division. Paclitaxel promotes the assembly of microtubules from tubulin dimers and, crucially, stabilizes them, preventing their depolymerization. This stabilization leads to the accumulation of non-functional microtubules within the cell, effectively arresting the cell cycle in the M-phase and ultimately inducing apoptosis in rapidly proliferating cancer cells. This cytotoxic effect makes Mitotax a cornerstone in the treatment of various solid tumors. It is widely indicated for advanced ovarian cancer, metastatic breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma, often administered as part of a combination chemotherapy regimen to maximize therapeutic efficacy and improve patient outcomes.
