About

PAC MED 30mg Injection contains Paclitaxel, a potent antineoplastic agent belonging to the taxane class of chemotherapy drugs. It exerts its cytotoxic effects by interfering with microtubule function, which is essential for various cellular processes, particularly cell division. Paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules, preventing their normal depolymerization and reorganization. This leads to the arrest of cancer cells in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle, ultimately inducing apoptosis (programmed cell death). This mechanism makes it effective against a wide range of solid tumors. The 30mg dose might be used in specific weekly regimens or for certain tumor types where a lower, more frequent dose is preferred to manage toxicity. It is typically administered intravenously as part of a comprehensive chemotherapy regimen.
