About

Taxotere 80mg Injection contains docetaxel, a potent taxane chemotherapy agent widely employed in the treatment of various solid tumors. Docetaxel exerts its antineoplastic effect by specifically promoting the assembly of microtubules from tubulin dimers and, crucially, simultaneously inhibiting their depolymerization. This dual action leads to the stabilization of microtubules, which are vital components of the cell's cytoskeleton and essential for cell division. The accumulation of these abnormally stable microtubules disrupts the dynamic equilibrium necessary for normal cellular mitotic and interphase functions. This disruption results in the arrest of cell division in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle and ultimately induces programmed cell death (apoptosis) in rapidly proliferating cancer cells. It is a cornerstone treatment for breast cancer, prostate cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, gastric cancer, and head and neck cancer.
