About

TINIBA 500MG TAB. contains Tinidazole, a potent antimicrobial agent belonging to the nitroimidazole class. It is highly effective against a wide range of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, making it a versatile treatment option for various infections. Tinidazole works by entering the microbial cell, where it is reduced by intracellular enzymes to highly reactive nitro radicals. These radicals then damage the microbial DNA and other essential macromolecules, leading to irreversible cellular damage and ultimately microbial cell death. This unique mechanism of action makes it a potent agent for treating various infections caused by susceptible organisms.

It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as giardiasis, amoebiasis, trichomoniasis, and bacterial vaginosis, as well as for certain anaerobic bacterial infections. Its efficacy and often short course of treatment make it a valuable option in managing these specific types of infections, providing targeted action against the causative pathogens and promoting recovery from parasitic and anaerobic bacterial diseases.
