About

TRESIBA FLETUCH refers to Insulin Degludec, an ultra-long-acting basal insulin analogue, typically administered via a FlexTouch pre-filled pen. Insulin Degludec is designed to provide a stable and prolonged glucose-lowering effect for more than 42 hours, making it suitable for once-daily dosing at any time of day, preferably at the same time each day. Upon subcutaneous injection, it forms soluble multi-hexamers that slowly release insulin monomers into the circulation, ensuring a consistent and steady glucose-lowering profile with minimal peak-to-trough fluctuations. This characteristic helps to reduce the risk of nocturnal hypoglycemia and provides greater flexibility in dosing times compared to other basal insulins. It is indicated for the treatment of diabetes mellitus in adults, adolescents, and children aged 1 year and above, requiring basal insulin for glycemic control.

Uses

  • Treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus.
  • Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
  • Provides basal insulin replacement.
  • Aids in achieving long-term glycemic control.
