About

Vorizol 200mg Tablet is an antifungal medication containing the active ingredient Voriconazole. It belongs to the class of fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitors and is prescribed for severe, life-threatening fungal infections or as a preventive treatment for high-risk individuals, such as those who have undergone bone marrow transplantation. This medicine is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Voriconazole or any of its ingredients. Before starting Vorizol, inform your doctor if you have a history of allergic reactions to other azoles, liver disease, cardiomyopathy, irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate, or long QTc syndrome. During treatment, it is important to avoid direct sunlight, using protective clothing and a high-SPF sunscreen. Children taking this medicine should follow the same precautions.

Common side effects may include fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, swelling of the extremities, stomach pain, and breathing difficulties.

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience severe sunburn, intense skin rash or blisters, bone pain, signs of adrenal insufficiency (such as chronic fatigue, muscle weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, or abdominal pain), or signs of Cushing’s syndrome (including weight gain, fatty hump, rounded face, darkened skin, thinning skin, easy bruising, high blood sugar, excessive hair growth, or sweating).
