About

X Vir 1mg Tablet is an antiviral medication containing Entecavir, belonging to the class of nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). It is used to treat chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, which occurs when the immune system is unable to clear the virus from the liver within six months of initial infection.

Before starting X Vir 1mg Tablet, inform your doctor about any existing skin problems, anemia, seizures, or liver or kidney disease. Regular blood tests may be required to monitor blood counts and liver function, allowing your healthcare provider to track your response to the medication and detect side effects early. Alcohol should be completely avoided, as it may increase the risk of liver damage. Rarely, this drug can cause lactic acidosis (excess lactic acid in the blood), particularly in obese women. If you experience nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain, contact your doctor immediately.

Consult your doctor before using X Vir 1mg Tablet if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. This medication should only be used during pregnancy if specifically advised by your doctor. Effective contraception is recommended to prevent pregnancy while taking this tablet. Breastfeeding is not recommended, as it is unknown whether the drug passes into breast milk.

Do not take this medication if you are allergic to Entecavir or any other ingredients in the tablet. Individuals with HIV or HBV should take precautions to prevent virus transmission. Avoid unprotected sex and do not share personal items such as razors or toothbrushes. Use of condoms and other safe practices is recommended, and you should discuss appropriate preventive measures with your doctor.
