About
Zerogain 10 Tab contains a specific dose (e.g., 10mg) of a triptan medication, which is a highly effective treatment for the acute relief of migraine headaches. Triptans work by selectively binding to serotonin 5-HT1B/1D receptors on cranial blood vessels and nerve endings. This action leads to vasoconstriction of dilated intracranial blood vessels, which are thought to contribute to migraine pain, and also inhibits the release of pro-inflammatory neuropeptides from trigeminal nerves. By targeting these key mechanisms, Zerogain 10 Tab helps to alleviate severe migraine pain, as well as associated symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, photophobia (sensitivity to light), and phonophobia (sensitivity to sound), allowing patients to return to their normal activities.

- Pregnancy - Use during pregnancy is generally not recommended unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Consult your doctor to discuss the best course of action.
- Breastfeeding - Triptans can pass into breast milk. It is often recommended to express and discard milk for a period after taking the dose. Consult your doctor.
- Liver - Patients with severe liver impairment may have reduced metabolism of triptans, leading to increased drug levels. Dose adjustment or avoidance may be necessary.
- Kidney - Renal impairment generally does not require significant dose adjustment for most triptans, but caution is advised in severe cases.
- Lung - Use with caution in patients with severe asthma or other respiratory conditions, as triptans can cause transient bronchoconstriction in some individuals.
