About

This complex formulation combines Aceclofenac, Gabapentin, and Nortriptyline to address multifaceted pain conditions. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that exerts its effects by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing inflammation, pain, and fever, particularly in musculoskeletal disorders. Gabapentin, an anticonvulsant and neuropathic pain agent, modulates voltage-gated calcium channels to decrease the release of excitatory neurotransmitters, effectively calming overactive nerve signals responsible for neuropathic pain. Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, providing significant analgesic benefits for chronic neuropathic pain.

This unique combination is designed to provide comprehensive relief for mixed pain states, where both inflammatory and neuropathic components contribute to the patient's discomfort, such as in certain musculoskeletal disorders with nerve involvement or chronic pain syndromes.

Safety Measures

  • Alcohol - Avoid alcohol as it can increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding with aceclofenac and enhance CNS depression from gabapentin and nortriptyline.
  • Pregnancy - Consult a doctor. NSAIDs are generally avoided in late pregnancy. Gabapentin and nortriptyline also require careful consideration due to potential risks.
  • Breastfeeding - Consult a doctor. All components are excreted in breast milk; use with caution and only if clearly necessary.
  • Liver - Use with extreme caution in patients with liver impairment due to the metabolism of all three components and potential for liver toxicity with aceclofenac.
  • Kidney - Use with caution. Aceclofenac can impair renal function, and gabapentin requires dose adjustment in renal impairment.
  • Lung - Generally safe, but caution with nortriptyline if severe respiratory depression is a concern. NSAIDs can exacerbate asthma in some individuals.
