About

Aprebion Kit Capsule contains aprepitant, an antiemetic agent that selectively blocks the neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor. This mechanism of action helps prevent both acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with highly emetogenic chemotherapy (HEC) and moderately emetogenic chemotherapy (MEC). By targeting the substance P/NK1 pathway in the central nervous system, aprepitant significantly reduces the incidence and severity of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), improving patient comfort and adherence to treatment regimens. It is typically administered as part of a multi-drug antiemetic regimen, often in combination with a corticosteroid and a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, to provide comprehensive CINV prophylaxis.
