About

Bandrone 150mg tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as bisphosphonates and contains Ibandronic acid as its active ingredient. It is primarily used to treat osteoporosis, particularly in postmenopausal women, a condition often caused by decreased estrogen levels. Bandrone helps to reverse bone loss and lowers the risk of fractures.

Avoid taking this medication if you are allergic to Ibandronic acid or any of its components. Consult your doctor if you have difficulty sitting or standing upright for at least one hour, or if you have a history of low blood calcium levels.

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have any dental or oral health issues, such as gum disease, poor dental hygiene, or if you are scheduled for a tooth extraction. Also, let your doctor know if you smoke, as it can increase the risk of dental complications. Share your medical history, especially if you have had cancer, previous treatment with bisphosphonates, or are currently using corticosteroids like prednisolone or dexamethasone. Additionally, disclose any issues related to your esophagus, stomach, or kidneys, or if you plan to undergo dental surgery.

This medicine contains lactose, so inform your doctor if you have lactose intolerance or difficulty digesting sugars.
