About

Doxotero 50mg Injection is an anti-cancer medication used in the treatment of various cancers. Cancer is a condition where cells grow abnormally and divide uncontrollably. Doxotero 50mg is primarily used as adjuvant chemotherapy in women with breast cancer involving axillary lymph nodes following surgical resection. It is also effective in treating neuroblastoma—a cancer that originates in nerve cells and mainly affects children—and Wilms' tumor, a type of kidney cancer seen in children.

This injection contains Doxorubicin, a drug that belongs to the anthracycline topoisomerase inhibitors class. It works by intercalating between DNA base pairs and inhibiting the topoisomerase II enzyme, leading to the uncoiling of the DNA double helix. This action disrupts DNA and RNA synthesis, ultimately killing cancer cells.

Common side effects of Doxotero 50mg may include nausea, headache, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, vomiting, dizziness, mouth sores, fatigue, back pain, red-colored urine, diarrhea, and pain at the injection site. Most of these side effects are temporary and do not require medical attention. However, if they persist or worsen, consult your doctor. The injection must be administered by a qualified healthcare professional, so do not attempt to self-administer. The dosage will be determined by your doctor based on your individual health condition.

Avoid Doxotero 50mg Injection if you are allergic to Doxorubicin or any of its components. It is contraindicated in patients with severe heart failure, recent myocardial infarction (MI), significant drug-induced bone marrow suppression, or severe liver impairment. Inform your doctor if you have any cardiovascular issues, liver or kidney disease, or are taking CYP3A4 or CYP2D6 inducers, as these may lead to serious interactions or side effects.

Since Doxotero 50mg Injection is known to cause embryo-fetal toxicity, it should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or currently breastfeeding before beginning treatment.
