About

Doxybenz 50mg Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the tetracycline class, effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as certain atypical organisms. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, thereby preventing the attachment of aminoacyl-tRNA to the mRNA-ribosome complex. This bacteriostatic effect halts bacterial growth and replication. The injectable form is particularly useful for patients who cannot tolerate oral medication or for severe infections requiring rapid systemic delivery. It is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections.
