About

FEBUDIM40 contains Febuxostat 40mg, a xanthine oxidase inhibitor used for the long-term management of hyperuricemia in patients with gout. It works by selectively inhibiting xanthine oxidase, an enzyme responsible for the production of uric acid. By reducing the formation of uric acid, Febuxostat helps to lower serum uric acid levels, thereby preventing the formation of uric acid crystals in joints and tissues, which are the cause of gout flares.

This medication is particularly useful for patients who cannot tolerate allopurinol or for whom allopurinol is ineffective. It is important to note that FEBUDIM40 is not intended for the acute treatment of gout attacks but rather for their prevention. Treatment should be initiated at a low dose and gradually increased if necessary, with regular monitoring of serum uric acid levels to achieve the target range. Consistent use helps to reduce the frequency and severity of gout flares and prevent joint damage.
