About

HCQS 300 mg tablets contain Hydroxychloroquine, an antimalarial and disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD). It works by modulating the immune system, reducing inflammation, and interfering with the growth of parasites. Primarily used in the long-term treatment of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, it helps to alleviate symptoms like joint pain, swelling, and skin rashes. It is also effective in the prevention and treatment of certain types of malaria. Its immunomodulatory effects are thought to involve inhibition of toll-like receptor signaling and interference with antigen presentation, leading to a reduction in inflammatory responses. Due to its potential for ocular toxicity, regular eye examinations are crucial during long-term therapy.
