About

Nilosure 200mg Capsule is a potent and selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) primarily used in the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). It works by specifically targeting the Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase, an abnormal protein that drives the uncontrolled proliferation of myeloid cells in CML. By inhibiting this oncogenic enzyme, Nilosure effectively blocks the signaling pathways responsible for the growth and survival of leukemia cells, leading to a significant reduction in the number of abnormal cells in the bone marrow and blood. This targeted action helps to achieve deep molecular responses and improve long-term outcomes for patients with CML.

Nilosure 200mg Capsule is often prescribed for patients with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) CML in the chronic phase, or for those who are resistant or intolerant to prior TKI therapy, such as imatinib. Its high selectivity for Bcr-Abl kinase contributes to its efficacy and a generally manageable side effect profile compared to less targeted therapies. Regular monitoring of blood counts, cardiac function (due to potential QT prolongation), and metabolic parameters is crucial during treatment to ensure patient safety and optimize therapeutic benefits.

Uses

  • Treatment of newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in chronic phase.
  • Management of Ph+ CML in chronic or accelerated phase resistant or intolerant to prior therapy.
  • Used when other tyrosine kinase inhibitors have failed or are not tolerated.
  • Long-term management to achieve deep molecular response in CML.

Directions For Use

Take Nilosure 200mg Capsule orally twice daily, on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours after food and 1 hour before food), as directed by your physician. Swallow the capsule whole; do not open, crush, or chew it.
