About

Nindanib 100mg Capsule contains Nintedanib, a potent oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets multiple growth factor receptors crucial for cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and fibrosis. Specifically, it inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR), fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR), and platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR). By blocking these key signaling pathways, Nintedanib effectively reduces the formation of new blood vessels that feed tumors and slows down the excessive deposition of fibrous tissue in organs. This dual anti-angiogenic and anti-fibrotic action makes it a valuable treatment for progressive fibrotic lung diseases, such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and certain types of cancer, by mitigating disease progression and improving patient outcomes through its targeted molecular mechanism.

Uses

  • Treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
  • Treatment of other chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases with a progressive phenotype.
  • Treatment of systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD).
  • In combination with docetaxel for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) of adenocarcinoma histology.

  • Pregnancy - Nindanib is embryotoxic and teratogenic. Women of childbearing potential must use highly effective contraception during treatment and for at least 3 months after the last dose.
  • Breastfeeding - It is unknown if Nindanib is excreted in human milk. Due to the potential for serious adverse reactions in breastfed infants, breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment.
  • Liver - Nindanib is primarily metabolized by the liver. Patients with hepatic impairment require dose adjustments or may not be suitable for treatment. Liver function should be monitored regularly.
  • Kidney - No dose adjustment is required for mild to moderate renal impairment. Use with caution in severe renal impairment due to limited data.
  • Lung - While used for lung conditions, monitor for worsening respiratory symptoms or new onset of interstitial lung disease, though rare.
