About

Plamumab 40mg Injection contains Adalimumab as its active component. It is a TNF (tumor necrosis factor) inhibitor and classified as an antirheumatic agent. This medication is used alone or in combination with other drugs to manage symptoms of various autoimmune disorders. It is indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis—a condition where the immune system attacks the joints, leading to pain, swelling, and reduced joint function—and polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis, which affects children and causes joint pain, swelling, impaired movement, and developmental delays.

Plamumab 40mg is also prescribed for enthesitis-related arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (an inflammatory condition affecting the spine and nearby joints), and axial spondyloarthritis without radiographic signs of ankylosing spondylitis. Additional indications include psoriatic arthritis, plaque psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa (a skin condition causing painful lumps in areas like the armpits and groin), Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis (inflammation and ulcers in the colon and rectum), and non-infectious uveitis (inflammation in parts of the eye).

Avoid using Plamumab 40mg Injection if you are allergic to Adalimumab or any of its ingredients. It should not be used if you have active tuberculosis or other serious infections, or if you suffer from moderate to severe heart failure. Inform your healthcare provider if you currently have an infection or have a history of lung disease, heart conditions, liver, or kidney disorders. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or think you may be pregnant, consult your doctor before starting this medication.
