About
Rabez-D Capsule contains Rabeprazole, an active ingredient classified as a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by decreasing the production of stomach acid, making it effective in treating various acid-related disorders. This medication is commonly prescribed for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where stomach acid flows back into the esophagus, leading to symptoms like heartburn, acid regurgitation, and difficulty swallowing.
In addition to managing GERD, Rabez-D Capsule is also used to treat and prevent stomach ulcers, particularly those caused by long-term use of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) or infection with Helicobacter pylori.
While generally well tolerated, some people may experience side effects such as headache, diarrhea, nausea, or abdominal discomfort.

Safety Measures
Alcohol - Drinking alcohol may worsen stomach irritation and reduce the effectiveness of Rabeprazole. It’s best to avoid or limit alcohol while using this medicine.
Pregnancy - Rabeprazole should only be used during pregnancy if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor. Its safety in pregnancy has not been fully established.
Breastfeeding - It is not known whether Rabeprazole passes into breast milk. Use with caution during breastfeeding, and only under medical supervision.
Liver - Rabeprazole is metabolized in the liver. If you have moderate to severe liver disease, dose adjustments may be required. Always inform your doctor of any liver condition.
Kidney - Rabeprazole is not primarily eliminated through the kidneys, so it is usually safe in patients with kidney issues. However, consult your doctor if you have severe kidney disease.
