About

Rabium Plus combines rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), with domperidone, a prokinetic agent. Rabeprazole works by reducing the production of stomach acid, providing relief from heartburn and promoting the healing of acid-related damage. Domperidone enhances gastrointestinal motility by blocking dopamine receptors in the gut, which speeds up gastric emptying and reduces nausea and vomiting. This combination is particularly effective in treating conditions where both excessive acid production and impaired gut motility contribute to symptoms, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with associated nausea or dyspepsia. The dual action addresses both the chemical and mechanical aspects of digestive discomfort, offering comprehensive symptom relief.

Uses

  • Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
  • Management of dyspepsia with associated nausea and vomiting.
  • Relief from symptoms of gastroparesis.
  • Treatment of erosive esophagitis with impaired motility.
