About

Thalix 50mg Capsule is an immunomodulatory medication containing thalidomide as the active ingredient. It works by inhibiting cancer cell growth and modulating the immune system. Thalix is also prescribed for conditions like erythema nodosum leprosum (a complication of leprosy) and certain off-label uses. Due to its potential side effects, it should only be taken under strict medical supervision and exactly as directed by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects may include sleepiness, headache, dizziness, rashes, pain, fatigue, constipation, nausea, loss of appetite, impotence, fever, and depression. Contact your doctor if any of these side effects persist or become bothersome.

Before starting Thalix, inform your doctor if you are allergic to thalidomide or any other ingredients in the capsule. Also report if you have a history of blood clots, heart attack, nerve damage (neuropathy), abnormal heart rate, high or low blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, or viral infections such as HIV, hepatitis B, or varicella zoster. Your doctor may monitor thyroid function before and during treatment.

Important precautions for women of childbearing potential: Stop taking Thalix and contact your doctor immediately if you suspect pregnancy, experience irregular or missed periods, notice changes in menstrual bleeding, or have unprotected sex. Effective birth control must be used during treatment. Thalix is not recommended for adolescents or children under 18 years of age.
