About

URSOPRO 300 contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA), a naturally occurring bile acid. UDCA works by altering the composition of bile, reducing the cholesterol saturation of bile and facilitating the dissolution of cholesterol gallstones. It achieves this by suppressing hepatic cholesterol synthesis and secretion, and by decreasing intestinal cholesterol absorption. Additionally, UDCA has cytoprotective, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties, which are beneficial in various cholestatic liver diseases by protecting liver cells from toxic bile acids.
