USIBON 150 TAB contains Ibandronic Acid, a potent nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate. It works by specifically inhibiting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, thereby increasing bone mineral density and significantly reducing the risk of fractures. Ibandronic acid binds to the bone mineral and is then internalized by osteoclasts, where it interferes with their mevalonate pathway, leading to osteoclast apoptosis and reduced bone turnover. This medication is primarily used in the treatment and prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis. Its convenient once-monthly dosing regimen helps improve patient adherence. By preserving bone mass and improving bone strength, it significantly lowers the incidence of vertebral and non-vertebral fractures in women at risk, contributing to better bone health and quality of life.

Directions For Use

Take one tablet once a month, on the same date each month, at least 60 minutes before the first food or drink (other than plain water) of the day. Swallow whole with a full glass of plain water while standing or sitting upright. Do not lie down for at least 60 minutes after taking.
