About

Versavo+ 100mg/4mL Injection Vial contains bevacizumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that specifically targets and binds to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). VEGF is a key signaling protein that plays a critical role in angiogenesis, the process of new blood vessel formation, which is essential for tumor growth and metastasis. By neutralizing VEGF, bevacizumab inhibits the formation of new blood vessels that supply nutrients and oxygen to tumors, thereby starving the tumor and impeding its growth. It also normalizes the existing tumor vasculature, which can improve the delivery of co-administered chemotherapy agents. Versavo+ is used in combination with various chemotherapy regimens for the treatment of several types of advanced or metastatic cancers. Its mechanism of action makes it a cornerstone in targeted cancer therapy, aiming to improve progression-free survival and overall survival in eligible patients by disrupting the tumor's blood supply.
