About

Avastin 100mg Injection is an anticancer medication that contains the active ingredient Bevacizumab. It is designed to inhibit tumor growth and is used in combination with other chemotherapy drugs to treat various cancers, including metastatic breast cancer, brain cancer, cervical cancer, kidney cancer, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer. It is also prescribed for cancers of the ovary, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancer.

Effective birth control should be used during treatment and for at least six months after the final dose, as this medication may affect fertility. Avastin is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Women who are planning a future pregnancy should discuss ovarian preservation options with their doctor, as the drug may impact fertility. Breastfeeding should be avoided during treatment, as the medicine may interfere with the baby’s growth and development.

Avastin is typically given alongside other chemotherapy agents. Common side effects include constipation, loss of appetite, runny nose, fever, skin issues, and weight loss. Inform your doctor before starting treatment if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, or heart conditions.

This medicine should not be used for at least 28 days before or after surgery, as it can impair wound healing and increase the risk of bleeding complications. If you have dental problems that may require surgery, consult your doctor beforehand. Additionally, report any symptoms such as visual disturbances or confusion immediately to prevent serious complications.
